Support Stu!

Happy October! Here is some proof that I didn't sleep through the rest of September:

A cut paper assignment for Illustration I. They're designs of a Mafia Family for a European card game Happy Families. The background is done with gouache and the people are meticulously cut out with my
not-so-steady x-acto knife.

A painting done for Media Kitchen: Wet. This was painted on a 8x10 piece of Plexi glass.

Another piece for Media Kitchen: Wet. This one incorporated a collage and dry brushing technique.

A simple drawing done with gouache for Narrative Illustration. We were instructed to illustrate an article of our choice, and I chose one about Stu Rasmussen, America's first transgender mayor.

Another sketch for the same project. This one illustrates the part of the article where they recounted how the townspeople protested in defense of their mayor while dressed in drag.

And the final illustration for the article, a more finished piece to cover the overall feel of the article. I am actually planning to go back and add a bit of stubble so that Stu looks a bit more masculine, but otherwise it's a finished piece.

Drawing II Final

This was my final project for Drawing II done using black gouache. It's based off of a series of motion photographs, with my roomate as the energetic model.
